so.. i know you are dying to know if Jayedyn got her Lil' Pet Shop outfit and the answer is

YES!

It took some time alot of store Location shopping and my friend/nemesis The Seam Ripper,

but i did finish it, and she absolutely Loved it.

The hardest part was the Applique it was a chore . But thank goodness it was a pillowcase and i had bought 2 just in case Because of course i had to do it 2x's

but i do have to admit the end result was worth it and the smile of Jayedyn's face was priceless

JUNE

Was Mayson's B-day Month and of course he wanted to have a Mickey Mouse outfit,

what else would my Mayson want?

he is a huge Mickey Fan

A funny story :

I had taken Mayson too so many Fabric shops he had turned into my lil Fabric Nazi !

we had to argue the fact that i indeed do not need 4 yrds of any one Fabric every single time. I think it was because that was easier for him to say then 2 yrds.

After searching many different fabrics and Letting my 2 yr old tell me yes or No
He chose his mickey fabric for his shirt The very 1st fabric he wanted LOL!

and then we got the fabric for his shorts the 3rd one he loved because mom was coaxing him ...

he loved all the bright colors, After his outfit was finished and we were trying it on to make sure it fit then the fight began he did not want to take it off and kept yelling my shirt my shirt He would walk all over and make his model pose It was adorable ... I finally got it off of him with a promise of a warm bath....

My Niece Audree had her Bday this Month also and She was having a princess party she had asked me to make her and outfit for her special day so i came up with This Princess outfit
A peasant top and easy fit pants

She loved it !

Next outfit came together with the help of daddy-
Jayedyn on a outing to walmart with Daddy, suckered him into buying this fabric .

had to do some searching for a fun pattern to do something a lil different then my normal YCMT outfits which I LOVE.....

I ended up using a McCalls pattern thanks to the discission of my daughter, it had a really cool middle that i was dieing to try so it was a pretty easy sell ... The Pattern was hard but after a few tries and some breaks and not over analysing (LOL) it worked out,

It is really hard to sew when i have other kiddos screaming .. But now i can tune out the noise .
We had a fun photo shoot and ended up taking alot of photos But this one had to be my favorite

She is growing up way to fast it is just sad!

NextOutfits were for the TwilightMom's zoo outing, A bunch of us married ,Moms who are all obsessed with Stephenie Meyers Twilight saga got together at the Hogle Zoo.

My crazy brain had convinced me to make all my kids coordinating outfits for the occassions all in one week well more like 3 days (LOL)

Khrystian's Shorts were a Leopard fabric
Logan's were a tiger Print

Camden's Shorts were a Zebra Fabric

Mayson's was a animal print short romper with Tiger pockets

Jayedyn's outfit was a StripWork Jumper with all the coordinated Animal prints.

JULY- This outfit creation was all for myself, I was attending the Breaking Dawn Release Party In Las Vegas with The TwilightMoms there.

I figured since i was gonna be there celebrating my 15 th yr wedding Anniversary why not take one day and do something Twilight re-lated
Lonnie was a good sport and he even came and hung out with us for a bit and even wore his jacob mask.
I decided that i needed a new skirt and a extremely difficult applique What was i thinking !

Not completely perfect but good enough (LOL) Here is My idea on the cover of Breaking Dawn

AUGUST- I had been asked why? By my Loving Hubby i had not made him anything? Good Question after a difficult And time consuming search for any xxxl patterns (which i now know that it is completely difficult )

I had a few more Fabrics that i fell in love with and so i had to turn them into something Fabulous for Jayedyn

Girl's Night- Mock Slumber Party with our Girls Jayedyn convinced me that i needed to make them all matching Pj's for the occasion and of course i did..

This was Jayedyn after that crazy night and there Monkeys I heard that the girl's stayed in there Jamma's all weekend ...

One night i was frustrated Nothing on tv and nothing i really wanted to do, so i sit down at my sewing machine and whip up this cute outfit for My Dog Daizie

A stripwork skirt and a halter top (LOL) it had Kitties on it ...

I was planning a trip to Forks Wa for stephenie meyer Day with the Twilightmoms and decided i needed a backpack to carry all my stuff in i was not going to lug a purse around while Hiking and such so after a bit of figuring some stuff out i came up with a pattern for exactly what i needed




I made mine and one person saw it and asked me if i would make them one and then another and then another. I ended up making 10 for forks and a few more just for custom orders .




I ended making a pretty good sum to spend in forks ... Here are a few ...

I hate it when you clip your threads on all your stuff and then you snap a few photos and what do ya know Threads!!! argh Sorry i just had to vent ...

After that i had to take a bit of a break and did not sew anything for that next month or did I ?

The Start of 2008 Sewing Excitement

Okay so i went a lil' overboard on buying some adorable Fabric The 2008 Yr But i made some cute outfits and Did some stuff i thought i would never learn how to do.

Okay so to start .

JAN-

I made This adorable Finding Nemo For the Neighbor Girl across the street she is the Hugest Nemo Fan, i was strolling the DI one day and walla, there was a finding Nemo sheet so i bought it and cut it up for this outfit.

1st-Valentine's Day Outfit

Once again The Twirl on the jumper is toned down

Jayedyn just was not into Twirling YET!

I also made a Bow and a Headband . She had to have pants made because it was such a cold day, So i just took a pair of the Boys jeans cut the bottoms and added some Fabric . There was also a whole in the knee so i put a patch on it and then sewed some Fabric over the top in the shape of a upside down Heart.

Wendy had told me about the adorable Cat fabric and i had to get this .

We kinda Made matching outfits for our Girls and this was the 1st time i made Patchwork Jeans (It actually was a ton of Fun)

We ended up adding a sash to her Outfit and I made this with the perfect ribbon I found.

It was Camden's B-day That Month also, and he begged me to make him a outfit

that is all he wanted.

I asked if he wanted to choose the Fabric and he was all over it , We had such a fun shopping experience after a few Hundred different designs

His Choice was made up. Racing cars and checkered Flags
He is all about Cars , And i actually had some fun making his . I appliqued his jeans with a car and added buttons for the wheels, His right pants leg had the words "GO"!

March

I wanted to make something completely different then what i had done the month before for Jayedyn and the snow was letting up a bit . This is the fabric choices

I Bought a ruffler Attachment for my sewing machine and fell in love, it made ruffles take only a second instead of Hours upon Hours Like Before .

After a weeks worth of Time i Came out with This ..


This one had Major Twirl Action and i think this was the outfit That introduced her to Twirling .

Instead of a Bow she wanted a Headband so that is what we made with extra Fabric.

Next on my way to find some Easter Fabric Jayedyn saw Hannah Montanna Fabric and of course, Like a sucker i bought it.

which turned into this

She really likes the Stripwork Jumper pattern Because she can wear it over her pants , She Begged me to sew on the Buttons, I appliqued The "POP" and we found a iron on that said Princess ,

I ended up letting her sew the stars on ...

I actually made the same outfit for her friend who was having a Hannah montanna B-day Party And then i had a few More requests for 2 more,, i actually got Paid for .

Jayedyn Chose this Fabric

For her Easter Outfit she thought the Bunnies & eggs were so cute

We did a Peasant Petticoat underneath and Jayedyn designed the Sash on the side it had a huge knot wrapped around a Button I protested at 1st but gave in and it turned out .

She choose the Butterfly applique on the bodice and even sewed a bit of it.

I think Jayedyn has a eye for designing .

Next i had to make something with The Dog Material i got in Jan .

The Weather was getting cooler so I decided that she needed a fun spring outfit.

We went with A peasant Top and Easy fit pants .

The sash you could tie in front or Back and the Bottom of the pants had a cuff with alternate Fabric ..

Now For The Xmas Month APRIL-

I only say xmas because i have 3 kids whose Birthday happen to fall in this month all within a week and a few days And because i made a outfit for Camden's B-day The older boys wanted a Shirt also

The fun part is taking the Kids with me and letting them choose there favorite Fabric . The Hardest Part is Just letting them choose it, By this i mean it is hard for me not to want to choose the stuff i like But it is there B-day so whatever they want They get wether it matches or not ...

The first B-day is Jayedyn and she had a special request she wanted a LIL pet shop Outfit Now the Hard part to find it . I remembered that i had seen a sheet set at wal-mart one time and thought i could use that I went to get it But as usual it was GONE i tried 3 different stores and it also was Gone .. I had Lonnie check each day before he came home and still Nothing ... I decided that i needed to get started on the Other stuff.

Khrystian chose a dragon fabric , Logan chose some skulls and Flames

So i started on cutting out the pattern and fabric When the Phone rings It is my sister calling to remind me about Lillee's 1st B-day party . Oh crap i have to make her a outfit also and so i rack my brain for ideas.


The Next day My Sewing Co-Hurt Wendy, had to take me to the Hobby Lobby with her on a fabric excursions I did want to check it out so i agreed



We walk in and about die This place is Crafters Heaven We walk back to The sewing/Fabric section and i swear i heard angels sing ..


i Easily fall in love with there Material.... But it is so dang expensive (only because I never bring my coupons and i need at least 3-4 yrds .)



The overwhelming Row upon Row of different fabrics made me swoon 1st it was i need this and ooh i could do this, then oh wait maybe this one and this one.



I think i had told Lonnie i would only be a Hr But 4 Hrs later and closing time. Jayedn brings me This gorgeous Pink & brown Material and say's that she would like this for her B-day outfit and The same Pattern as her Dog outfit .. (well that was Easy, I start Thinking that I could make Lillee's the same fabric too..)



So let's just say $50 later and a promise to Lonnie that i won't buy anymore Fabric for a while.

2 days later It was Khrystian's B-day and he had his shirt finished & he Loved it.


3 days Later was Logan's Day and here is His


They were so proud telling all their Friends that there Mom made it .




Camden was feeling Left out so i had to make him something too.

Sat. i whipped up his Flame Motorcycle Outfit and shorts

Only...... Because dad Took him to the store to choose his fabric (So i could keep my promise But not Hurt his feelings)



Lillee's Birthday was in between Kj's & Logan's But her party was a bit apart

I was so excited with her Outfit and My sister loved it. as well as everyone else

I had to make her a Matching Hair bow /Headband

People at her party kept asking My sister if she bought her outfit from The children's place or Gymboree


I just smiled and took my compliments.


I decided that after All of those Outfits I would take a Bit of time off from sewing , besides i had promised Lonnie i wouldn't Buy any more Fabric for a Bit .


I tried so hard It lasted a good 2 weeks (LOL) .
